The Departed

“Cops or criminals. When you’re facing a loaded gun, what’s the difference?”

Billy (Leonardo DiCaprio) wants to prove he is more than where he came from, so he takes the state police's offer to go undercover in South Boston's Irish mob, under the boss Costello (Jack Nicholson). Colin (Matt Damon) is already inside the police, placed there by the same man, and each of them is soon hunting for the other. Scorsese works from a script by William Monahan, built on Infernal Affairs, and keeps the Boston streets loud, crowded and tight.
