People in a small town keep turning up dead, and each of them had recently received the same gift of a lotion with an unusual smell. Dr. Paul Carruthers (Bela Lugosi), a chemist who believes his employers cheated him out of the company's profits, has been breeding bats to twice their normal size and training them to attack at that scent. Jean Yarbrough directs this quick, late-night chiller, and Carruthers keeps up his friendly manner while his grudge does the work.
