The Devil's Brother

(1933)Directed by Hal Roach90 minComedy, Music
“Great lords lost their gold to him—great ladies their hearts.”

Stanlio (Stan Laurel) and Ollio (Oliver Hardy) are two would-be bandits who badly want to make a living robbing travelers. They sign on with a dashing nobleman who, unknown to them, is the notorious outlaw Fra Diavolo (Dennis King), who also passes himself off as the Marquis De San Marco. Hal Roach's operetta-style comedy sets the pair among Lady Pamela Rocburg (Thelma Todd) and Capt. Lorenzo (Arthur Pierson), where one wrong word could expose their master.
