“The 80's were brilliant, if you were in charge.”

Latif Yahia (Dominic Cooper), an Iraqi soldier, is ordered to become the double of Uday Hussein, the sadistic son of Saddam (Philip Quast), and he has no way to refuse. Lee Tamahori puts Cooper in both roles, so the two men share every frame of Uday's gilded, violent world. Latif studies the man he must copy, and Sarrab (Ludivine Sagnier), who moves in Uday's circle, comes to matter to him.
