“Three hundred years ago they burned her as a witch. Now she's back!”

Three women arrive in Devonsville, a conservative New England town, and the men who run it take against them at once. Jenny Scanlon (Suzanna Love) is among them, and Dr. Warley (Donald Pleasence) begins looking into a witch's curse laid on the town three hundred years earlier. Ulli Lommel's film leaves the women's lives and a long-buried killing in 1683 on the same collision course.
