“The escape is served...”

A young lieutenant named Medina (Mario Casas) and a maître d'hôtel named Genaro (Alberto San Juan) scramble to stage a banquet at Madrid's Hotel Palace for Francoist generals in the weeks after the Spanish Civil War ends. The night unfolds as a collision between those still drunk on power and the men tasked with serving them. What emerges between Medina and Genaro is a wordless pact, two men tethered by circumstance and the knowledge of what they have witnessed.
