The Disappearance

(1977)Directed by Stuart Cooper92 minDrama, Thriller
“Violent passion held them together… passion for violence ripped them apart.”

Jay Mallory (Donald Sutherland), a contract killer, comes home to find his wife Celandine (Francine Racette) gone, and he wants her back more than he wants the next job. An international organisation hires him for a hit anyway, and he starts to suspect the people paying him know where she went. Stuart Cooper builds the story from Mallory's search, which makes the film about how little a man can know of the person he lives beside.
