The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie

(1972)Directed by Luis Buñuel101 min · PGComedy, Fantasy

Six well-dressed friends sit down to dinner, and the meal never arrives. A wrong date, an empty restaurant, or an event that turns out to have been imagined keeps pulling them from the table. Don Rafael (Fernando Rey) is the ambassador of Miranda, and Buñuel keeps him at the table with the Thévenots, Simone (Delphine Seyrig) and François (Paul Frankeur), who return again and again to the same polite company.
