The Dish

“Man's first step on the moon nearly stumbled on earth.”

It is 1969, and Cliff Buxton (Sam Neill) is running a giant radio dish on a sheep farm outside Parkes, Australia, with a small crew that includes Mitch (Kevin Harrington) and Glenn (Tom Long). Apollo 11 is heading for the Moon, and this crew will receive the live pictures of the first steps and pass them to the world. Rob Sitch makes a plain point of it: great moments depend on ordinary people doing a job well.
