The Divine Order

Nora (Marie Leuenberger) starts speaking up for women's suffrage in her quiet Swiss village, weeks before the men vote on it on February 7, 1971. Until then she was only a housewife and mother of two sons, liked by everyone, and the 1968 upheavals had never reached her door. Petra Volpe sets her against a husband, Hans (Maximilian Simonischek), a village that still votes as one block of men, and a ballot that is a few weeks away.
