The Divorce of Lady X

(1938)Directed by Tim Whelan92 minComedy, Romance
“HE STOLE HER HEART SO SHE STOLE HIS PAJAMAS!”

A London barrister, Everard Logan (Laurence Olivier), wakes to find a woman has spent the night in his hotel suite, and he decides she must be the erring wife of Lord Mere (Ralph Richardson), his newest client. Tim Whelan directs Merle Oberon as the stranger, who gives him no name and no reason to trust his guess. Logan is a man who argues for a living, so he takes his certainty straight into the divorce.
