The Dog in the Manger

Countess Diana de Belflor (Emma Suárez) rules her grand household with confidence, until she finds herself in love with Teodoro (Carmelo Gómez), the secretary who writes her letters. He is already engaged to Marcela (Ana Duato), and Diana cannot bring herself to either claim him or let him go. Pilar Miró adapts Lope de Vega's 1618 play, and Diana's pride and longing pull against each other from the start.
