The Door-to-Door Bookstore

Carl Kollhoff (Christoph Maria Herbst) delivers books door-to-door, each customer a familiar stop on a well-worn path. A cheerful nine-year-old named Schascha (Yuna Bennett) invites herself along on his rounds, her chatter breaking open the careful boundaries he has drawn. Carl begins to see the people he visits not as transactions but as lives, and in letting her in, discovers he has been lonely.
