The Dressmaker

“Revenge is back in fashion.”

Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage (Kate Winslet) steps off the bus in a tiny Australian town in the 1950s, a trained dressmaker come back to the place that drove her out. She finds her mother Molly (Judy Davis) ailing, and she finds neighbours who haven't forgotten her, while Teddy McSwiney (Liam Hemsworth) takes notice. Jocelyn Moorhouse puts Tilly in the doorway with her sewing machine and a bolt of cloth, the town's plain frocks waiting.
