The Drop

Nobody at Cousin Marv's bar will say whose money ends up in the safe on certain nights, only that it does, and then one night men with guns take it. Bob (Tom Hardy), the quiet bartender, is pulled into the investigation alongside his cousin Marv (James Gandolfini) as Detective Torres (John Ortiz) starts asking about the neighborhood's past. Michaël R. Roskam sets it in the winter cold, Bob alone behind the bar with the stools empty.
