The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson

In 1893, heavily pregnant Molly Johnson (Leah Purcell) is alone with her children on a remote stretch of Australian bush, her husband gone to drove sheep in the high country. One day she finds a wounded Aboriginal fugitive, Yakada (Rob Collins), shackled on her property, and the new lawman in town starts asking where her husband is. Leah Purcell directs and plays Molly as a woman who keeps the family fed and the farm standing, and who will hide whatever she has to.
