The Drug King
“He who was a criminal and a patriot.”
How does a small-time smuggler in 1970s Busan end up running the whole drug trade, with the town thinking him a decent community leader? Lee Doo-sam (Song Kang-ho) gets his start moving meth for a gang and keeps climbing, with Kim Jeong-ah (Bae Doona) guiding him upward. Woo Min-ho stages the nightlife and the deals in grainy, crowded scenes, and the film follows the rise to see where it lands.
