The Dumpling Affair

Franz Eberhofer (Sebastian Bezzel) is a policeman in a small Bavarian town who suddenly finds himself accused of a crime committed with his own pocket knife. He sets out to find the real killer, with his friend Rudi Birkenberger (Simon Schwarz) tagging along. Ed Herzog plays it all deadpan, and underneath the laughs is a plain question of whether a place where everyone knows everyone will take your word over the evidence.
