In 1984, Paul Bradford (Jeffrey Byron) is a computer whiz who talks to his machine like a partner and shares his life with Gwen Rogers (Leslie Wing). Then the wizard Mestema (Richard Moll) pulls him into a digital world and sets him seven trials, from mutant goblins to a stage show with W.A.S.P., each handed to a different director. Gwen's soul is the stake, and Paul has nothing to carry into the fight but his wits.
