The Ear
Ludvik (Radoslav Brzobohatý) is a government bureaucrat who comes home from a cocktail party with his wife, Anna (Jiřina Bohdalová), uneasy about what he overheard there. Karel Kachyňa follows the couple through one night in their house, where they find they are being watched and have to act normal while they wait for morning. The film was banned in 1969 and not released until 1990, and it shows two people turning on each other because there is nowhere else to turn.
