The Edge of Heaven

In Bremen, the widower Ali Aksu (Tuncel Kurtiz) asks Yeter "Jessy" Öztürk (Nursel Köse), a Turkish sex worker, to move in with him. His son Nejat (Baki Davrak), a professor of German literature, watches the arrangement take hold, while Jessy's daughter Ayten (Nurgül Yeşilçay) is somewhere in Turkey and out of contact. Fatih Akin follows these lives across Germany and Turkey, letting their paths cross before the characters know it.
