The Eighth Day

“What a difference a day makes…”

In Belgium in the mid-1990s, Harry (Daniel Auteuil), a divorced salesman, spends his days on the road, distant from his children and unhappy. One night he nearly runs over Georges (Pascal Duquenne), a man with Down syndrome who has slipped out of the institution where he lives. Jaco Van Dormael stays close to the two of them and lets their odd friendship take its time.
