Gene (T.J. Miller) is a emoji in Textopolis who can make every expression at once, which is a problem in a city where each emoji has one job and one face. He sets out with Hi-5 (James Corden) and Jailbreak (Anna Faris) to find a way to become normal, traveling through the digital world inside a teenager's phone. Leondis fills the frame with bright colors and quick cuts, turning the smartphone interface into a landscape to explore.
