The Empire of Corpses

“The dead will inherit the Earth.”

John Watson (Yoshimasa Hosoya) lives in a 19th-century Europe where dead bodies are given a false soul and put to work as laborers. These "Frankensteins" have driven the continent's industry forward, and the government has noticed Watson, scouting him to become a secret agent. Ryotaro Makihara follows him through that recruitment, and beside him walks Friday (Ayumu Murase), the companion who keeps pace with every step.
