The End
Mother (Tilda Swinton) and Father (Michael Shannon) have lived underground with their grown Son (George MacKay) for twenty-five years, ever since environmental collapse made the surface unlivable. Joshua Oppenheimer shows them keeping house in their palatial bunker and breaking into song to hold on to hope. Then a stranger, Girl (Moses Ingram), arrives, and the family sits at the table with a face they do not know.
