The End We Start From

London is going under as Woman (Jodie Comer) gives birth to her first child, and within days she, her partner and the baby have to leave their home and head north. Mahalia Belo follows them from one place of shelter to the next across a country that has turned dangerous. The film is about what a parent holds onto when the house, the street and the city are gone, and the answer is a small, breathing weight in her arms.
