The Exorcism of Emily Rose

“One person's story of faith and possession.”

A priest (Tom Wilkinson) is charged with negligent homicide after an exorcism, and his defense attorney (Laura Linney), a self-proclaimed agnostic, must argue that Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) was genuinely possessed. As the trial unfolds, details of what happened to Emily emerge in fragments and testimony. The priest's faith, and the cost of standing by it when the law demands a different answer, becomes the weight Erin has to carry.
