The Exorcism of Emily Rose

“One person's story of faith and possession.”

Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) is dead, and the parish priest who performed an exorcism on her, Father Moore (Tom Wilkinson), is arrested and charged with negligent homicide. Erin Bruner (Laura Linney), an agnostic defense lawyer, takes his case. Scott Derrickson, working loosely from the real case of Anneliese Michel, puts Erin in front of a jury she can barely persuade, her own doubts growing louder with each witness.
