The Eyes, the Mouth

A rich man dies by his own hand, and the family he leaves cannot agree on what the death was. His twin brother Giovanni (Lou Castel) comes home to a mother (Emmanuelle Riva) and a pregnant Wanda (Ángela Molina), each of them grieving a different person. Marco Bellocchio shows how a single death gets claimed by everyone it touches, each mourner holding a version the others will not accept.
