The Face of an Angel

“Forget the truth, find the story.”

Thomas Lang (Daniel Brühl), a documentary filmmaker, arrives in Siena to make a film about the murder of a young student and the trial of the woman accused of it. Simone Ford (Kate Beckinsale), an American journalist covering the case, becomes his guide, and the story they chase starts to cost them both. Winterbottom films it with a handheld restlessness, so the unease builds in the edges of each scene.
