The Fan

“The final act is murder.”

Douglas Breen (Michael Biehn) clerks in a record store and wants one thing, a reply from Sally Ross (Lauren Bacall), the stage and screen actress he writes to again and again. She is rehearsing a new show with her ex-husband Jake Berman (James Garner), and the letters keep arriving. Ed Bianchi keeps the story close to Sally's routines, so the dread builds out of ordinary days.
