The Fan

“An obsession gone mad.”

Simone (Désirée Nosbusch) spends her days with a pop singer's name on her mind, and when she finally stands near him in a crowd of fans, she faints. Later he tells her plainly that he does not love her. Eckhart Schmidt keeps the camera close on her face as the devotion sours, and Simone is left holding a feeling with nowhere to go.
