The Feather Fairy

A boy named Jakub (Tobias Hoesl) walks up to the home of Perinbaba (Giulietta Masina), an old woman who looks after the snow and cannot die, because he is not afraid of death himself. Juraj Jakubisko adapts the Brothers Grimm tale of Mother Hulda, and the people Jakub leaves behind include his stepmother (Soňa Valentová). Underneath the fairy tale, it is about people wanting happiness, love and understanding, and about greed and evil wishes spoiling them.
