The Fencer

A young fencer on the run from the Russian secret police leaves Leningrad and takes a job as a physical education teacher at a small Estonian school. Endel (Märt Avandi) starts a fencing club for the children, and Klaus Härö lets the lessons build slowly around him while his past follows him toward the school. The film is about how a person's gift can outlast the fear that sent him into hiding.
