The Field Guide to Evil

“A global anthology into dark folklore”

Kathi (Marlene Hauser) and Valerie (Luzia Oppermann) are two sisters in a village in the Austrian hills, living under the eye of their mother (Birgit Minichmayr) in one of eight folk tales gathered here. Severin Fiala and Agnieszka Smoczyńska are two of the eight filmmakers, each bringing a story from their own country, among them a childbirth djinn and a kindler. Each tale was told to give a shape to fear, and each leaves a person facing it alone.
