The First Time

“Nervous is normal.”

Dave Hodgman (Dylan O'Brien) is a high school senior who has spent months pining for Jane (Victoria Justice), a girl who barely notices him. At a party he meets Aubrey Miller (Britt Robertson), who goes to a different school and doesn't seem to care how he's supposed to act. Jon Kasdan keeps the film small, a couple of teenagers talking through the hours that follow, and lets the awkwardness stand.
