The Five Days

(1973)Directed by Dario Argento122 minComedy, Drama, History

Cainazzo (Adriano Celentano) is a thief who has never owned more than he could carry out the door. Then he meets Romolo Marcelli (Enzo Cerusico), a baker, and the two of them end up in Milan in 1848, among the barricades of the Five Days. Dario Argento keeps them moving through the crowds, and the last thing the film holds on is the pair of them in the street.
