The Flying Scotsman

“The true story of the unlikely champion that inspired a nation.”

Graeme Obree (Jonny Lee Miller) builds a racing bike in his Scottish workshop out of scrap, including parts from a washing machine, and sets out to break the world one-hour record. Douglas Mackinnon follows him through the pedaling and the welding, with Malky (Billy Boyd) beside him and Anne Obree (Laura Fraser) waiting at home. He is an amateur with no sponsor and no money, and the record is all he has to stake himself on.
