The Fool Killer

In the years after the Civil War, a twelve-year-old boy named George (Edward Albert) runs away from his foster home and takes to the Southern countryside on foot. Along the way he meets odd strangers, among them Milo Bogardus (Anthony Perkins), a drifter some say is the Fool Killer of folklore. Servando González sets the two walking the same roads, with George unsure whether the man beside him is a companion or the thing people warn their children about.
