Berlin in 1942 is no place for a Jewish man to be living, and Cioma Schönhaus (Louis Hofmann), 21, is still determined to enjoy himself. With deportation closing in, he finds a new way to earn his living and discovers he has a talent for forging passports. Maggie Peren keeps the camera tight on Cioma's face, so the danger reads in his eyes before it shows anywhere else.
