“He took someone else's idea and America ate it up.”

In the 1950s, Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a traveling salesman from Illinois, finds a burger stand in Southern California run by brothers Dick (Nick Offerman) and Mac McDonald (John Carroll Lynch). Their system for making food fast has him seeing franchises where they see one good restaurant. John Lee Hancock follows Kroc as he works his way into their business, a man who has failed for years and means to take what he's found.
