The Four Days of Naples

“Stunning! Brilliant! Stirring! Scorching! Epic!”

In September 1943, the people of Naples want only for the war to be over now that Italy has surrendered to the Allies. Nanni Loy follows Maria (Lea Massari), Stimolo (Gian Maria Volonté) and the rest of the city as they find the Germans still in charge and as ruthless as before. Armed with makeshift weapons, ordinary civilians face an army they cannot hope to match, and the fight belongs to the whole city, not to soldiers.
