The Fox and the Hound

A young fox named Tod (Mickey Rooney) and a hound puppy named Copper (Kurt Russell) become inseparable friends, unaware that their kinds are meant to be enemies. When Copper is trained to hunt and Tod is left to fend for himself in the wild, their bond fractures under the weight of instinct and circumstance. Tod stands alone in the forest, changed by loss, no longer the carefree kit he was.
