The Fugitives

Jean Lucas (Gérard Depardieu) walks out of prison determined to live as a good citizen, and he makes it as far as a bank. A nervous, hapless robber, François Pignon (Pierre Richard), takes him hostage in the middle of a hold-up, and the police take one look at an ex-con in the room and decide he must be part of it. Francis Veber ties the big, wary Lucas to the flustered Pignon, and the two are stuck with each other.
