The Fundamentals of Caring

(2016)Directed by Rob Burnett97 min · RComedy, Drama
“Caring is a funny thing.”

A hired caregiver and his first client leave Trevor Conklin's house for a road trip through the western states. Ben Benjamin (Paul Rudd) is taking the work to earn money after a tragedy, and Trevor (Craig Roberts) is an 18-year-old with muscular dystrophy who talks like he has nothing to lose. Rob Burnett, adapting a novel, keeps the camera in the van with them as strangers like Dot (Selena Gomez) climb in along the way.
