The Funeral

“One family, one murder, too many lies.”

The body of Johnny (Vincent Gallo) lies in the front room of a New York gangster family in the 1930s while his brothers, Ray (Christopher Walken) and Chez (Chris Penn), decide who should answer for his death. Abel Ferrara moves through the wake in flashbacks, going back through the brothers' lives and the wives who have lived beside their violence. The family has already made up its mind, and what's at risk is whatever is left of it afterward.
