The Fury of a Patient Man

Jose (Antonio de la Torre) is a quiet man who keeps turning up at the same bar, where he strikes up a careful friendship with Ana (Ruth Díaz), who works behind the counter. Raúl Arévalo's film lets him sit with his drink and say very little, so we learn only that he came for more than company. Curro (Luis Callejo) leans on the bar close by, and Jose watches him across the room, never raising his eyes for long.
