The Future

Sophie (Miranda July) and Jason (Hamish Linklater) are a couple who decide to adopt a stray cat, and the thirty days before it comes home start to feel like the last stretch of their lives. Miranda July also voices the cat, Paw-Paw, who narrates from a cage while they wait. Each of them reaches for a new life, and neither can say where the other has gone.
