The Gang's All Here

(1943)Directed by Busby Berkeley103 minComedy, Romance
“What a gang of song hits!”

Edie Allen (Alice Faye) sings in a New York nightclub chorus when a young soldier falls for her before he ships out to the Pacific. Her friend Dorita (Carmen Miranda) leads the cast through Busby Berkeley's production numbers, and Phil Baker and Benny Goodman turn up in the same revue. Berkeley fills the Technicolor stage with dancers in fruit hats, the bananas and strawberries rising over the chorus line.
