The Garage

Elena Malaeva (Liya Akhedzhakova) is a junior researcher at a Moscow institute and a member of a garage cooperative whose land is wanted for a new highway. Eldar Ryazanov puts the whole membership in one meeting room, where the board has already decided which garages will go, and then the door gets locked and the key is gone. Nobody leaves, and each person has to say plainly what a garage is worth to them.
