The Gendarme Gets Married

Saint-Tropez's gendarmes launch a campaign against dangerous drivers, and Maréchal Ludovic Cruchot (Louis de Funès) throws himself into it with a zeal that rattles everyone around him. His chase ends at Josépha (Claude Gensac), the widow of a respected police colonel, and he falls for her on the spot. Jean Girault sets Cruchot's new love against his job, his daughter Nicole (Geneviève Grad) and his officers, and every one of them has a stake in how it turns out.
